(Oh, and I normally write rants like this, in the second person. It doesn't mean I'm diricting this at anyone, because I'm not. It's just easier to write it thinking I'm writing it to them)


WTF PEOPLE
Since when did who marries who become a part of your life? Enough that you won't allow them to be happy together?! Your /main/ supporting argument is 'Well, we can't redifine marriage'. The fact that you can't sell your daughter for a few goats means that MARRIAGE HAS BEEN REFINED. Marriage used to be between only a white person and a white person, and a black person and a black person. MARRIAGE HAS BEEN REFINED. Who says it can't be refined again? -insert other stuff here that I won't post-
Some other arguments you have: It is against god's will to have homosexual marriage.
My say on that: So? There are different beliefs out there, and there are some with none at all. YOUR belief system doesn't dictate over people's lives.

My response: Actually, it isn't. Homosextuality has been observed in over 1500 species. Homophobia in one. What seems unatural now?

I don't really oppose gay marriage, per say…I just don't think it's right. There is a difference.

And anyway, what if someone really close to you gets married to the same sex? What would you do?
I would just let them do what they believe in, because when you're in love, it's the most powerful thing out there.

It's not so much religion and stuff why I don't like the idea of gay marriage and gayness in general (although that is part of it), it's just that I find it really creepy that one of your friends could secretly be lesbian and have a crush on you…o.e

And no offense…but gay marriage supporters can be JUST as offending to gay marriage opposers as vice versa. And just because you think our opinions are wrong, doesn't mean they're wrong period. Our opinions shouldn't count less than others.
